GSA's 18F Team Has Launched 300 Cloud.gov Projects

The GSA's digital services unit has been rolling out government cloud projects since October.

The General Services Administration's digital services unit, 18F, has rolled out more than 300 applications from federal agencies to its open source platform-as-a-service pilot program, cloud.gov, since October.

Diego Lapiduz, 18F's cloud.gov prject lead, declined to tell FedScoop about the details of many of the cloud projects. However, he said that most of them are projects 18F has designed in collaboratioon with and for other agencies, including the Education Department's College Scorecard and its own Federalist platform, which helps agencies design fast and reliable websites. Cloud.gov has also supported several White House projects, Lapiduz said.
